I bought a tank of helium from Airgas. The metal tank is much more expensive than the gas itself. I use helium, but hydrogen would work too and its about half the cost. Just don't let it explode!!!
I use the mylar tape from Uline to attach the mylar edge-to-edge. Its the same material with adhesive backing, so it's both lightweight and aesthetically pleasing.

Not to mention the fact that a lot of people hate drones and hardly anybody hates balloons... especially if they are whimsical space creatures!Drones are bad vibes!
...and so would I! Unfortunately that project was two years ago and was not well documented. The pattern was a physical cardboard cutout and is long gone. Basically it was a simple "Y" shape. Two "Y"s were heat-seamed back-to-back. Each heat-seamed Y was taped to the next Y with mylar tape, forming a dodec. I also made this little soccer ball balloon:
