If you set your shutter speed to bulb would you press it once to open the shutter, and once to close it, or would you just hold it down as long as you want the shutter open?

Great instructable! I was thinking about making one just like it, but you did a much better job explaining how to actually get the right conditions than I could have done! Here's a few photos I took in the month of July.

I haven't done any kind of drawing on shoes before, but there are fabric markers out there that would probably work well on shoes. If you are interested in painting on shoes there is a brand of paint call Angelus paint that is made specifically for painting.

I thought about mentioning the stitching in those! They aren't actually stitched into the shoe. What I did on those was trace the pattern with pencil, and then do that zig-zag stitch on a sewing machine. Then I cut the pieces out and glued them on like normal. The biggest problem with these customs is that the fabric starts to fray, and I found that with the stitched border they held up a lot better.
