I'm really more of a computer/software kinda guy but sometimes I like to tinker with actual physical things too :) I have a small business selling patent art prints & t-shirts, which presents a surprising number of DIY opportunities!

This is an excellent way to put an old paint can to use! Well done.

That makes sense. 4-6 people at a time is still pretty good capacity, thanks for clearing that up!

Awesome, I imagine this could work with a light sensor to use as a fixed outdoor light too. Very cool!

Great write up, if I had seen something like this at a thrift shop or garage sale before I would probably have passed it up without a second thought. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for a micrometer next time next time I'm cruising garage sales.
Awesome! I really like the box but see how any kind of ornate casing can potentially work. Can it only respond to volume levels in general, or would it be possible to plug in a couple different color lights so that one could correspond with the bass and another with the treble?
