Hm, I Never experienced that a broody hen would break eggs by purpose… I’m not sure if they even noticed that the eggs were moved? I would suggest: Skip candeling or just take eggs, while the hen is in the eating and pooing state, ( not sitting on the eggs) for candeling. Hope that helps you Good luck!

No, just leave her alone. But as soon as chicks hatch, have a SHALLOW water bowl ( drowning risk!) and chick food ready. good luck!

So glad you liked the beet patties! If you want to skip the risotto try something with feta or goats cheese - that goes brilliantly along with beet root!Happy days!

hej Mountain mama, i guess the chicks have hatched by now? I'm not sure if i understand your questions right - please explain again....you should seperate the chicks from the other chicken, until they are 6-8 weeks - but it's good if the others can have a look and visit - with no physical contact of course, that might make the introduction a little smoother later on.
- Mimikry commented on Mimikry's instructable Hatching Chicken Eggs NaturallyView Instructable »
hens do not need a rooster to produce eggs. but of course if you want to hatch, you need a rooster to fertilize the eggs.maybe your rooster is too young and will get the hang of it soon.

I am not sure what you mean..there is nothing you have to take away from the chicks beak.

I wanted to try this recipe right away - but there was only goat-cream cheese in my refrigerator - that would have been an “ interesting” twist on the raffaelo ;)But I will give it a go soon!

hej Sue, a comment like yours means a lot!thank you! I agree many funerals are more about money, show and shine but not really personal - a DIY memorial or wreath is not about saving money, it's about grief and relieve. I like what you did for your father in law! - more worth then any bought flowers and it shows how precious the person was to you.- but of course, not everyone is crafty, and also a florist made wreath can be personal.Life is too short to last long!

it should work very well, if the diameter of the cupcakes fit into the jars - i had no such cupcake pan, so I choose the cutter method.I enjoyed the tiny cakes so much, that I want to make one for every guest on my birthday party - if there will be a party in january... happy baking!
