Thanks for the love! I broke it down for 15 pts per drawing (original & redesigned), 25 points per model (original & redesigned) and 20 for the presentation making it 100 pts total. For scoring, I graded based on guidelines set, such as including labeles on the blueprints, color coding them, including a certain number of features in the models, etc. I did not grade based on quality as all of my students were really demonstrating a huge variety of skills and prior experiences. Instread, it was on the design process of completing the challenge.

Happy to help! And yes, that's kind of what I meant. If you were going to make a lot of the same pattern, you could cut out the inverse to hold things in place and assist in perfect alignment. Keep me posted with your creations, can't wait to see what you come up with!
- MrErdreich commented on MrErdreich's instructable Unique Glossy Photo OrnamentsView Instructable »
Thanks for the love! In theory, you could totally print on the substrate before cutting, but as you mentioned there is a chance of soot residue discoloring the image. The unisub hardboard I used in this tutorial burns A LOT, I would definitely look into using a wood, faux wood, or plastic coated for dye sub instead. Alternatively, you could create yourself a jig to make it easy to align your image, in combination with some bleed in your design I think it would work well. Hope this helps!
