Thanks! I did do quite a bit of reading about the bulbs, and it's a part of the reason I didn't go with LED, I didn't find any conclusive information but enough that I was ok with traditional bulbs. I agree with the rabbets for the mirror, I've attempted this but my router is really old and really finicky, so it's hard to trust it for certain applications. I have a bunch of frames I'll be attempting to do just that where I'll have less concern if something goes wrong. Since this was something my wife will actually be using I didn't want to experiment with it until I'm fully comfortable with the use of my old router. the cabinet in the back is intentionally though, I'm thinking of adding some small jewelry type drawers she can store certain items in, she's liking the idea of having some le…

I'll be doing a lot more with electricity, and I wouldn't mind keeping it safe, code particularly if ever I gift or sell anything I'd especially like to make sure it's up to snuff. Thanks again for the information, I appreciate you taking the time to do so.

I try to make a habit of asking my questions, I used to read thousands of these and then rush off to make or do what ever it was that got my attention. :D I'm glad you did do this because I'm familiar with the concept but never seen it with the cups, I think that's the best way I've seen so far. cheers
View Instructable »I like the dixie cup part, seems a lot more effective than some other mediums I've seen. I've wondered if it would work to pour saw dust into the whole pot of molten wax and stir it until its the right mix of saw dust and wax then pouring that whole think into a long cardboard tube and once dry slicing discs out of that? just don't know how well mixing up the whole batch in the pot would work out.

Thanks! I was wondering about the back of the outlet and codes, I know from working in construction years ago they had to be in gang boxes, but in this case I couldn't find any that would fit the small space, if its not a part of the structure would that kind of code not be a requirement or does that fall under some other sort of electronics regulation?

This is a great idea, I especially commend the clever idea of having the keypad 'off-site' in a sense, very, very cool. I just can't get your video to load for some reason. xD I'd really like to see it!

especially because (if you're as nerdy as me and read marker package instructions) these, and most pens that hold liquid dyes, are never supposed to be point cap up, the recommend on its side (sometimes cap down) otherwise they expire prematurely (like when you write with a dry erase marker with the butt of the marker lower than the tip, it seems to keep running out, some thing). :D so i did this, and, i like using space thats 'up', not 'out'. :)

well, I don't care much for flowers, and I happened to have a piece of scrap (that was sacrificial at some point) and matched the holes up as best I could and added the rest, sanded, stained, assembled, and then poly'd it up. Limited space makes a habit in me to build things up instead of out. :D

i accidentally discovered this year via spray paint, that it actually helps keep the pumpkin longer, so i used clear lacquer on the inside with creates a shell of sorts, tested two side by side, the sprayed one was still solid two weeks ago :D

I tried the trick with a gallon can of it, soaked a stiff old leather sheath for 34 hours, came out like new. Not sure how good it is for leather over all but it did work.
