Sorry I'm just now seeing this! I would size the door properly to give enough space for the guiding rail and clearance for the wheels on the bottom. I used metal piping with end caps and mounts for the top and locked wheels for the bottom. All of the weight is carried in the wheels, the top keeps the door straight. A good addition would be a floor guide to keep the wheels in line.

My press is similar to this, but I have the horizontal boards rather than the one vertical board press to the wood. This allows for a tighter press and for more surface area to be in contact with the board.

Yeah so for the most part we kept the full 4' boards spread apart and tried to randomize the rest. We used a hand planer to try and smooth the boards before screwing them together, and then we planed the top and sides. I would've loved to plane all the boards down but we don't have a full planer. We didn't use wood glue because we knew we wouldn't be able to get the boards smooth enough and we were also worried about the overall weight and strength. Lastly, we honestly made the table hard to move so that it couldn't be messed with/broken. Great Suggestions @UncleFroggy!
