Thanks. I love colorful things, too. These take a while to make, but it's really worth it. Every time I make more, I find new ways to put them together.

Yes, the kids really like "making them their own." Not sure if this is helpful, but here's a video I made for my students in May, so they could do a revised version at home. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRglXw-2RrQ&t=40s

Thank you for sharing these pictures! I love the different shapes. And glitter makes everything better!

I'm so glad. I've been really inspired by the generosity of everyone sharing their resources. I've made some videos of projects that my students should be able to do with materials at home, if you want some other ideas. I'm finding the hardest part of this distant learning is trying to figure out activities that only use things that most people have at home. Good luck with your online teaching; I know it isn't easy!https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5fDrPA0P_4QzPNbdTDTYYA/videos

Thanks. The kids really liked making them; especially the messy part. Nothing like time at home to be able to share stuff like this!

When I inserted the pictures to my instructable draft, some of them were sideways or upside-down. Is there a way to rotate the pictures, once you have uploaded them? Or should I try uploading them again? I thought I had them correctly oriented in my folder, but they seemed to get wacky once I put them in my "library." Any ideas? Thanks, Rochelle

You are so welcome. I'm glad this post brought memories of your grandmother.
