I understood what you meant in your three year old comment. But, I think you may have misunderstood my point. Who doesn't have a few dozen keys laying around and don't even know what they go to ? I personally have a quart mason jar full of orphan keys. I could throw them away. I doubt I could sell them. But, I kept them because there might be some way to repurpose them in the future. My point : Use what you already have, if it serves no other purpose. A cut key has very little value if you don't know what it goes to. If I can get 2.75 usd for my orphans, I'll take it. Even less.
