Most likely a wrong type of cry a toxin. One that does not affect ants nor fruitflies. It may notbe practical if it worked tho. You would need to perserve the culture in freezer or add preseratives against mold.

Has anyone thought of using carefully the dye 5-SSA with iron chloride and ethanol and methanol or acetone or even ethanol? I did this with paper it not similar but works very well maybe with controlled setting and fabric (the lye) did not eat the fabric dipped on paper it may work.5-SSA is 5-Sulfosalicylic acid. Alc as a dye or acetone that make it polar works. Acids turn it red depending on many factors including use HCl, etc with the dye. Plus 50 g cost 10 dollars on Ebay cheaply 98 percent.I am really glad i discovered it.

This is a way to Neutralize the dye. Very important.

Adding acid to the dye then adding baking soda until it fizzes and stops then add bleach this converts the dye into something non reactive even in acid or base. Tried it.

Yeah to anyone concern this isn't a GMO project. You would need a permit to do that. This is using a plant hormone to encourage plants to grow. Salicylic acid is a hormone that encourages the plant immune system. I am not sure but salts of it may help if done properly with other hormones cause the growth of plants and build immune systems of the plant.I wanted to do plant pathogens on plants with SA or a Sodium sulfosalicylic acid salt but some of these pathogens like Penicliium are difficult to control and others (Well I don't want to harvist them). Also you would need a microbe incubator for that -- expensive. Good Instructable. :) Learned something new here.

Just Look at the Second Secret of Mana game SD3. It only available for Japan and can only be played as an Emulator. If it wasn't for emulation this masterpiece would have never seen the day outside of Japan. Why did they release it outside of Japan? Big mystery too. Yeah, Silicone does work but If you want to dye fabric I found special Scotch guard silicone spray works for many dyes including glow UV dye. A spray even tho more expensive can coat thinly dyes that I have made too. Here the Instructable I made. Silicone alone in mineral spirits gave me trouble. Yes it done incorrectly it very dangerous. Just like Shock therapy it has medical applicaitons in treating Bipolar, depression (Resistant) without as many harsh side effects like temp memory loss from ECT. Good work tho.

Had a friend who went through tDCS which the docs in Canada said it safer and more effective than ECT. It pulled him out of his disorder like Catania. Like Severe Bipolar, Depression when used properly or as a last resort it still controversial it can save a life.

Yeah that quite fast 9200 RPM. Mine are 2 ml times 8 constant 7000 RPM and 1000-4000 20 ml tubes but I don't go past 3000 RPM since it shakes a lot. Something to consider Proper shielding incase that rotar breaks. Very cool and I enjoyed seeing this Instructable.

It an interesting concept. BTW it would NOT be recommended probably for Bipolar or people very sensitive to sleep. It because lack of sleep can trigger Mania and other symptoms like Psychosis in Bipolar. I could see this if done properly treat mild to moderate depression and it may reduce symptoms of severe depression but that ALWAYS requires antidepressant as a treatment too.I know a friend with Bi and if he overexposed to blue screen at the TV, videogames or computer it makes his Mania worse.It not for everbody tho.

Although my incubator isn't as complex it uses a thermometer one outside and one inside. I am using it to grow broths of bacillus L bacteria that produce a NATURAL selective insecticide. A 20W CFL does not release enough IR heat to raise the temp to 25-35 degrees C. Ideal for these bacteria.

Do you know what the acetic acid does to the glycerin and the starch? I assume it helps produce glucose polymers that may link to each other. Is it possible to use dyes that glow under UV or would they be effected by acetic acid. I know a solution of sodium fluorescien work best at pH 6-7 so having an acetic environment may prevent it from glowing under UV. Dyes like Indigo carmine, Malachite green, Safranin O, India Ink could they be used with this green plastic?
