Very nice.I wonder if this would be as easy to make in Fusion360 (e.g. cloud-based for realtime collaboration).

There's a lot of controversy with many people believing there's no such thing as "persistence of vision", disproved in 1912 by Wertheimer[2] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persistence_of_visionSince there's no such thing as persistence of vision, let me instead claim that there's at least a concept of persistence of exposure.PoE (Persistence of Exposure) when combined with perfect alignment, as a form of real augmented reality, gives us the ability to see otherwise invisible real world phenomena, as well as complex-valued signals from the physical world around us.See Figure 7 in http://wearcam.org/kineveillance.pdfIf you can think of a better title, please let me know.

Thanks for the kind words!I really liked your Flat Pack Solar Oven (my grandfather used to make lots of solar powered things when I was growing up, and we made parabolic solar oven reflectors, etc).
View Instructable »Yes, it was wonderful to get to know you and so many other great people at Pier 9. Those are memories that will last a lifetime! It would be great to learn how your analemma chandelier is doing and if you've got it installed and running yet.I'm glad you enjoyed the picture; perhaps you've got that up somewhere too.

Very nicely written Instructable! One thing I notice is that when the checkbox of a parent directory is deselected it deselects all its children, but a child directory can be reselected without having the parent directory selected. Thus there are two possible states that appear to represent the same selection.

Looks great. This is kind of like the axis labeling function we had on some of the S.W.I.M.s where the tick-marks are included on the across axis (with also bars across the up-down axes). I'm at Instructables P9; are you ever in the city; if so it would be fun to meet and collaborate on this if you happen to visit the city in the next couple of months or so....

- SteveMann commented on TSSJ-ryan's instructable Using the ShopBot as a Plotter
Also since this is really 2-dimensional in all regards, could it be done from a 2-D program like Inkscape directly, or perhaps from C-code directly, e.g. write a C program to define a mathematical function and plot it directly in realtime without having to use any software in between.Need to figure out the communication protocol of the Shopbot....
View Instructable »Excellent!Do you need to gradually adjust as the Sharpie wears out a bit?I imagine on larger jobs it might wear a little, and need to be lowered a little more toward the end of the job.

Yes, as long as you back in (back wheel in first), all the bikes, the handlebars are not a problem because there's enough space at the front. The "pie-shaped" spaces work well for the overall shape of a typical bike (wider at the front due to handlebars, and narrower at the back).Let us know if you end up making a version of this for scooters.

Why "mixed reality"?Mixed reality only gives you the virtuality axis, but you might also want the mediality axis.Compare figures 1 and 2 in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reality%E2%80%93virtuality_continuumand see also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer-mediated_reality
