I added a link for you in the ible. I did not model the threads which is why I used a generous amount of hot glue. The top and bottom caps unscrew from the bottle.
I also modified the bottom glass cap so that it can recycle the water faster while running the rain command.
I added links let me know if you need anything else.
View Instructable »I added the links for the various parts. The glass bottle is just a double wall glass tea infuser. There are many options available but I just went with one that doesn't have a logo printed on it. Hope that helps!

I configured the bonnet before I installed the Alexa assistant. In the install process it will ask if you want to configure alexa to use the hdmi audio or the speaker jack. Choose the speaker jack or it won't work. With a USB sound card it may be different. It would actually be better to use a sound card so it won't interfere with the lights.
You could use this method when the app starts recording to turn on the LED: https://github.com/alexa/alexa-avs-sample-app/blob/master/samples/javaclient/src/main/java/com/amazon/alexa/avs/AVSController.java#L260and this method when the app stops recording to turn off the LED: https://github.com/alexa/alexa-avs-sample-app/blob/master/samples/javaclient/src/main/java/com/amazon/alexa/avs/AVSController.java#L548I was not able to get it to work, but maybe a more experienced programmer could do this easily. It might have also been interference with the speaker PWM.
Briafalk were you able to implement Jetty480's great work? I tried, but it was a little more advanced than my abilities.

You bet! I am working on making a video which many of you have requested, and I will be sure to upload a source for all the parts as well. Most are fairly straight forward. (Except for the glass. Search Loose tea infuser glass bottle.) More to come...
View Instructable »I thought about that, only then I would have to figure out to to route a wire up to the top, and I really didn't want to have a wire visible in the glass. It's definately doable it just wouldn't look quite a clean.

Thanks for your support bud!
View Instructable »Mostly because I am using the free version of the api which means I am limited to how many times I can call it a month. If you call it every hour it would already be over 700 calls a month. You could run it constantly though and just call every hour. I also like the idea of the lamp turning on at each hour to show me the weather as a way to let me know when the hour has passed, and it also give the weather time to reset. (The condensation takes a while to clear up.) Really it's just a matter of preference:)

Hey thanks for the tip! Why didn't I think of that? Do you know if this is an issue with the RPI 3 or just the zero since it does not come with an audio jack?

I just printed it up. I did use supports, and once the print was completed I just removed all the supports that I could.
