HiIt has been a long time since I worked with the VS1053 boards but if I remember correctly one of them only brought out one of the two lines for connection to the outside. In addition their code that they supply with their IDE only did a DSP on the Line1 input which is the Mic input. I do not remember any lag...

HiYes you can use an lcd but you will have to change to code to suit the characteristics of your LCDSearch for the link to an instructable that replace the rotary encoder with a potentiometer: USB VOLUME CONTROLLER - POTENTIOMETER BASEDI am not sure which of the 5:1 speaker configurations can be controlled via the USB HID's - you will have to search for more information.

Ok if I understand your setup correctly you changed two things - the display and the Arduino is not an Uno but a Mega?You can try this:Connect the output of the 6N138 via the 220 ohm resistor directly to the VS10563 RX and disconnect the Mega TX from the RX of the VS1053Make sure your keyboard is transmitting on midi channel 0 and see if you get any audio output - if the VS1053 is in the correct real-time midi mode it will work without the mega sending it midi notes. You still need the mega in the beginning to load the VS1053 real-time midi code though Are you using the Adafruit VS1053 board?Use the email vdyktj at vodamail.co.za

Hello Sammym1 - Please give me details about how you constructed your circuit? - you will not need the Arduino midi library with this synth. If possible make4 sure the synth is working before you test it with the Midi keyboard - is the display menu reacting when you press the function button for example?

Yes definitely it will be much faster and will use less than half the power as well.

HiI no longer have it on a breadboard unfortunately I have moved on to the ATMega1284 effects unit.I do plan to go back to the VS1053 sometime this year and build it in a more permanent form - I will then do a video/audio as well.Best wishesTobias van Dyk

HiI searched for the Korg MS20 and it seems to be a very nice analog synth with a pitch to CV converter. That means if you can find a CV to Midi note converter (they must exist) you can send Midi note messages to the Arduino micro-midi box.Note that the Arduino midi box does not transmit any midi messages - it only receives them and produce the corresponding voice outputI am not sure how you can add a usb connection (in or out) to the Korg - an Arduino teensy can definitely translate the CV of you Korg and send them out through either a midi interface or its own usb port. For input there are Teensy circuits where the Teensy acts as a USB to midi converter and if you add a Midi to CV converter you can talk to your Korg via a PC usb interfaceI do not have current links but search for &quo...
