Thank you. I used a Dewalt DWD110 3/8" and a larger 1/2" Dewalt hammer drill(non-hammer mode and don't have the model number, friend is borrowing it.) I found that both were pretty taxed when came to drilling. This, I believe was a punky Elm round, I have tried drilling a fresh cut Ash and the smaller drill could handle it, the 1/2" was a the friends house. I also stepped up to a 17" long 2" auger bit vs the previous spade bit. I hope that the larger drill can handle but not sure it will. I am looking to get a larger/higher Amp drill that won't bog down and can handle the hardwoods.
