Arduino Energy Meter - V2.0
"wire the alternator to the car battery" - WHAT?!The output of an alternator is AC. A battery is DC.I am sure the output of the alternator is not 12-13.5V DC.You will need to strap a second get away bike to the frame to escape if the battery catches flame or blow your butt off=).Connect the alternator to a 12V rectifier/regulator and then connect the rectifier/regulator to the battery. The rectifier/regulator will accept the AC input rectifier that to DC, and then regulate the voltage to about 13.5V.
