There may be some movement through the seasons, but I’d be surprised if it comes detached. However, a mortise and tenon version would definitely put those concerns to rest. Plus be a cool way to do it. I’m glad to hear you improved upon the design!

What’s going on here is I messed up when I cut the dados on my board. I pointed it out in the video I made for this. I tried to get all fancy and cut them at 45 degrees too, but the whole thing was a bit of a mess. That’s why I recommended cutting them at 90 degrees. Easier to lay out and more room to put all 10 walls there.

I’d prefer to avoid having a lot of waste, if possible. I’m sure there’s a way that would get it perfect without a lot of hassle. But, I didn’t feel the 45 degree dados added any value, once I was playing the game. It’s really an aesthetic thing, so you can build yours however you like. Good luck on it and have fun playing!
