Yes - I removed the coil and tried a small speaker. It distorted the sound on the speaker unfortunately.
You can make the circle with a table saw - Metal L brackets-12 clamps- 4’x 4’ plywood . Screw at least 12 L brackets into the plywood to form your circle. Now cut your wood into 1/8 “ wide strips. Bend these strips around the L brackets clamping them as you go. Now apply glue to the second strip and add it to the first releasing each clamp and replacing it as you go. By the time you finish the forth strip your wood circle will be 1/2” wide. Now take Bailing wire and small spacer blocks to tighten up any wood strips that are not pulled tight by twisting the bailing wire with pliers.
Im not sure you want to point the light strips down. The original rectangular design put the strips on the inside edge , I do believe. It may also have a thin acrylic strip that covers the leds.
The plywood is only used as a stable point to screw in the L - brackets . It is no longer needed once the hoop is formedSorry for the confusion.
I added three switches to control a rgb strip led light.
I purchased the TINDLE add on kit 1 & 2 along with the add on parts and service. Everything assembled fine and worked as described. I did build my own frame. THE ONE PROBLEM IS THE HUM. I am wondering if you could tape a feather to a speaker and create the same effect
Has your concrete patio cracked anywhere due to the point loading? I assume that a non-reply means yes.

I would like to do a simple circular clock 24 lights total - each light has a blue programmed color for hour and a red for minutes. If the hour and minute are the same then purple. I know I do not have enough minutes but that will add to the coolness factor. I am planning on using an adruino uno plus the light string you used. How would you connect the light string to the Uno? And how would you program the lights? Thanks in advance. Your project was awesome by the way
Nice!! Is it still working
