Hey! I didnt remove any resistors or other components, just flipped the LED 90 degrees so the light is shining directly at the screen. You could try replacing bridging any LED resistor if the brightness is still very poor but you run the risk of the LED burning out - usually they dont because the battery has relatively high internal resistance to limit the current, but you should test it on an extra led before soldering first! Good luck!

Glad it worked for you! I think more stick tape or foils will not improve your gps accuracy by much if not any bit because it works just like a radio receiving time broadcasts from gps satellites to work out its position from the satellites. An error margin of 2m is pretty good and i think is inherent in the design of the device. Too much foil might make your case bulge outwards and fall off too, but i dont see how it could damage any electronics. If you decide to try, please let me know the results! Thanks!

I think theres no harm removing the backplate to see if any of the screws are loose first, since you have tried almost every software intervention. Did you recently update your os?

Have fun and Good luck playing!
Sorry about your phone. Perhaps you could try just putting pressure on the gps antenna area to see if it makes better contact. Hope it works!

Good luck trainer. Gotta catch em all!
Hi! Dont think it could fit in physically though, and the power requirements of a 5050 chip might be too much for the IC to handle.
