Just to close this out, I finally solved this problem by rolling back to version 1.6.13 of the Arduino IDE.Thanks again for posting such a great project!
Hello. Unfortunately, the fix I posted below does not update the time at all.I experiemented a bit, and when I set the time to 2018-12-15 17:49, and then uncomment out the line [#define _USERTCMILLIS_] and re-upload, the LED reads 2019-09-141.243, but updates after one minute to 2019-09-141.244.Any thoughts you have would be greatly appreciated.
Yes I was using your Time libraries. Thanks for the direction - I did get it to set the correct date. I included Time.h in addition to including TimeLib.h and also uncommented the #define _USERTCMILLIS_ line. Not sure which one of those things is the fix though - I can experiment further. I'll also let you know if the date updates correctly. Thanks so much for your help!!
I just checked the code, and all three of the compilation keys are commented out. Thanks.
Thanks for your reply. 1. Yes, and the RTC board works normally with the softrtc example code. As an aside, I tried the same procedure a week or so ago (on November twenty-something) and got the date to be 2018/13/44 one day, and it changed to 2018/13/45 the next day.2. I'm not sure - maybe none of them, but I'll check on Wednesday when I'm at home.
