Made some for my little sister's birthday! It was very easy to pipe and held its shape, and I love that it's made with real butter and cream (no Crisco for me, lol)! It's hard to tell in the picture, but some of the frosting is colored light pink :-).

I've played Minecraft on and off for a while, but I didn't know you could place sugarcane underwater, let alone use it to breathe. I've seen that done with doors and signs, but not sugarcane. Very interesting. I also didn't know what the effects of eating a pufferfish would be, I'd only heard that they were poisonous. Today I ate one just to see what would happen; I was in my house by my home bed, and had already died a few times that day, so I didn't have anything to lose, lol. I let the 15-second effects do their thing, and then drank milk to clear the remaining effect. It's not super huge but it's more than sufficient for my needs (I eat a lot of pumpkin pies!) :-).

This is my house; it started out as a dirt pyramid and through various more-or-less random modifications became this water shrine thing. My brothers think it's ridiculous but I like it. XD

I didn't make the white bread because I couldn't download the recipe, but I did make your Whole Wheat Sandwich Bread! The first one ended up being a brick, probably because I accidentally used pastry flour (oops!), but the second one I used a different flour (we happened to have some organic sprouted whole wheat flour in the cupboard; my aren't we gourmet today!) and it came out great and everybody in my family, even my dad who is a baker, said it was good bread :-).

Take two: much better! No pastry flour this time XD It still won't stick around for a week though with this crowd, lol!

I found some normal pancake syrup and used that, but I also accidentally used whole wheat pastry flour instead of normal whole wheat flour, so the reduced gluten in the pastry flour may have messed up my bread texture. It was all going well and puffing up, but then when I baked it, it ended up un-puffing and came out dense. I'm not sure if the altitude may have affected it as well; we do live even higher than Denver, so maybe I need to find a special high-altitude recipe. In any case, we spread it with butter and jam and ate it up! It was yummy despite being dense. Next time I'll try a different whole wheat flour and see if that helps. Also, do you know if honey could be used in the dough, instead of syrup, or could its antimicrobial properties harm the yeast?

Yay the Class Project is working again!Here are my financiers; I doubled the batch, except for the glaze because I ran out of powdered sugar (but I ended up with exactly enough glaze anyway), but used 1 1/2 cups almond flour and 2 cups all-purpose, and then I realized I only had enough unsalted butter for one batch so I used 1 cup unsalted butter, 1/2 cup salted butter, and 1/2 cup coconut oil, and reduced the salt in the recipe a little. I also didn't have any lemons to zest, so I used a few drops of lemon essential oil. I didn't have a mini loaf pan, but I didn't want them to look like muffins, so I used a brownie pan to make them square, and then what was left over went in a muffin pan. Despite my last-minute adjustments, the financiers were a success and my family wants me to make s...

Well... I started the ribbed scarf, with light blue worsted weight yarn knitted together with white baby yard with a pearly-looking strand in it. But then I ran out of the blue yarn, and the skein I thought was the same color turned out to be a slightly different color. And I can't stand slightly different colors, so I bound off, and used crocheting to turn the rectangle into a purse. So I did practice the rib knit (which was a bit redundant anyway since I already did the hat out of order XD), and I don't really need a scarf anyway since I already have three of them... so... does it count? :-D
