  • CHEAP Wall-Mounted Monitors

How did I get back here after all this time?Anyway, like they said at the Shack, "You've got questions, we've got answers."On-topic:The curtain rod brackets are two pieces. There is an L-shape that mounts to the wall, and a J-piece with hook to hold the rod. The J attaches to the L with a machine screw. Do lots of measuring and test fitting to determine placement and mount 4 brackets to the wall, with the top J-pieces separated. Rest the monitor in the bottom brackets, then attach the J's, upside-down, with the connecting screw. Mine were brass.Off-topic:1. The mousepad was actually what the hip kids today call "vegan" leather. Purpose-made as a mouse pad with a little built-in storage box for pens and paper clips.I have definitely moved up in the world since then. Right now I have a 27" HD LG mounted with the keyhole brackets, flanked by a pair of portrait-mode 17" Dells attached to small plywood plates attached to large gate hinges. That's all about to change, when I get my new Coronavirus-stimulus 35" Ultra Wide from Amazon next week. (And, my mousepad is much bigger and cooler-looking now.)

  • "Monovision: I have found one downside to monovision. That is 3-D movies and TVs. Those 3-D glasses are pretty much designed for good distance vision in both eyes. I don't know if you can get prescription 3-D glasses."Calculate the strengths you would need for matching distance vision in both eyes. Then make a custom pair or order from someplace like Zenni. For monovision I wear +2.75 on one eye and +1.25 for the other. My distance glasses prescription is +2.00 for both. So I would need -0.75 on one and +0.75 on ter for matching distance vision.

Would the 3D glasses fit over regular glasses?

  • Funny, all these arguments in the comments here, when the formula is very simple. If you've ever watched "My 600 Pound Life" you've heard Dr. Nowzaradan explain that losing weight is a simple matter of taking in less than you use, period. Hormones, gluten, water, starvation, grapefruit, etc, if you burn more calories than you take in, YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT. I think what Kreat0r has hit on here is just one of many ways to regulate caloric intake. If it works for you, that is awesome and I congratulate you. It's science, folks:The law of conservation of mass or principle of mass conservation states that for any system closed to all transfers of matter and energy, the mass of the system must remain constant over time, as system mass cannot change quantity if it is not added or remove…

  • Awesome simple design. I could see them maybe made from aluminum or plastic so as to be more weatherproof. Depends on what you have around.
