Thanks buddy!It was perfect for my son at the time, and was a perfect stepping stone to using a tablet.The buttons were brilliant for small hands, and the software was nice and simple to maintain and build upon.I'd love to have another go at this software one day; I'm a software developer now and I'd love to write a better application for it.I look forward to seeing details of your build - give me a shout if you need any ideas or help!

Oh yes! I'd probably desolder the jacks apart from the outer input and output, and directly solder them together to keep the signal as clean as possible.It would be tremendously flexible. I'd love to give it a go one day!

Hi buddy, thanks for commenting!I used TBOPlayer as a makestop while creating my ownsoftware using OMXPlayer, a commandline based player:https://github.com/CraigHissett/PiVidPlayerThe basic script (configured to run on startup by adding acommand to the /etc/rc.local file) enters a button loop, and when a button ispressed carries out that requested function.

This is brilliant!I've wanted to build a mini rack for a while so I can get into networking but have never been able to find a mini rack suitable.I guess I'm going mecano shopping later ha ha!It would be great to add a Mac mini, Intel nuc, raspberry Pi etc into the build too.

I'm sure I'll be able to get it to do what I need it to do :-)I tried to stick the image on an 8Gb card last night using etcher for my old Pi Model B, and although it wrote it without errors it's not booting on the Pi. I'm using a wifi dongle from the Pi Hut that has been working great with RuneAudio so shouldn't be a problem.I will have another go tonight, and maybe try using win32 Disk Imager to write the card.Thanks!

This looks awesome. I've been looking for a use for Prota OS, and also need to set up a Pi Media player for the missus too.I didn't realise Volumio could be added to it so that's awesome!It'll be fantastic to configure the Prota OS to launch Volumio and be ready to play whenever her phone is aatahed to our home network.can Volumio controlled by Web GUI just like normal too?Thanks!

This looks fantastic. I'd love to build it, but the BOM is too high for me. I'd love to replicate it using cheaper motors, Pi and Arduino though!
