Thank you. Yes, in Canada we also call it corn starch. Coarse ground corn meal didn't make sense! Going to go for it.
Corn flour? Is that yellow corn meal? Also, can these be mixed then frozen and baked later? Thank you!
One more question... how long before baking can these be made? Do they have do go into the oven immediately because of the baking soda? I love the idea of the layers. Thank you for your time. :)

Very nice. I made a similar one with books - didn't glue them together nor did I use an oak base. I did put a "spacer" under each corner of the bottom book - this gives room for the cord to run freely under the lamp.
Good idea! If you wanted it to look prettier, you could use fabric and glue it on or whatever. Everything in it's place looks great!
