Tell us about yourself!
I see you also built the same firewood rack I did from Instrutables :)
I made this 2 Thanksgiving's ago and started by smoking 2 turkeys. Since then I have smoked pork shoulders, Beef Brisket, ribs, whole chicken and wings, and Canadian bacon. It holds it's temp really well. May have to replace the plywood lid as some point, but otherwise has held up perfectly. It was easy to build. My brother and I knocked it out in a matter of hours over a couple days. The only surprise in the instructions is Shen I got to step 11 where it says "Procure 29" x 31", 3/16" thick carbon steel plate." I ended up lucking out with a neighbor who had some scrap, but that piece alone could be quite expensive. That firebox lid and the fire bricks are by far the most expensive part of the build. Overall, I couldn't be happier!
