mmmm over engineering! With a purpose!Love it!Though I'd probably use 4x6 for the legs. 2x just looks weird to me.
Well, that's an idea. But what about using the round ones and filling with an epoxy and a wood dowel? Can use a dowel as big around as the opening. would be kind of spiffy if you can find the right epoxy or liquid rubber mix. :D But that goes against the spirit of household products I guess.
The table is cool, but yeah, the work bench is what actually caught my attention >_>
You worried about using the blue mouthwash with white laundry - however, something that goes against the obviousness of the situation is that a slightly blue tint to white cloth will make the cloth appear much more brilliantly white. This is due to the color of our atmosphere and the way our eyes are used to the refraction of light. There is Liquid Bluing (Mrs Stewarts) which is designed for this purpose. I don't know if mouthwash would be a fine replacement for liquid bluing, however I'm most certain it wouldn't hurt whites any - especially with the dilution ratio. HOWEVER WITH THAT SAID - TEST FIRST! I can't stress that enough, what ever you do new, if there's the least bit of potential of ruining what ever it is you're working with - test on similar or scrap pieces first.
