Were you able to follow along the build process? kinda the same process of an electric bike. we still call it a bicycle and not a motorcycle. we changed its form but not what it orginated as
I just saw this message but thank you so much!
I was able to send in the photos and measurements to the local sign shop from there they made a few proofs and showed the sizing on the car before cutting. all measurements and such are laid out above in the pictures. but if i can help let me know
Nike SB Skateboard Bench
I added 3/4 blocks of ply to stand it off the wall enough for the light to shine and ran 3 inch screws through the shelf the block and into the stud. this assured me it would not fall or fail in the little ones room.
Thank You. The gray really brings the grain out and the red really off sets the gray they just play well together.
I am not sure of your market but I would look for the key word "House Wrap Tape" It has a plastic coating that will not allow anything to penetrate and nothing will stick to it.

I have looked over the car pretty well and nothing is sticking out that could easily do this. But I can also see the reason in changing over. plus plastic is much lighter. this is just cooler haha
That is great! They are such fun projects. The decals I had custom printed from a local shop "Live Loud" in Huntington WV Shaun did an amazing job with them. as for sharp edges my car didn't really have any I was concerned about. A few spots that had some metal overlapping that could just maybe in the right instance be an issue but like you said. many generations before now played with them and no issues. Just be sure to reuse or get new rounded head bolts and all should be fine. Good luck and be sure to tag me when finished!
I got them printed by a local shop here in Huntington WV called "Live Loud" Thank you for the kind words!
Thank you! That was my motivation to make it something that will last and he can have and hold on to for a really long time!

I have to agree with everything you have said. Basic way of learning is to see how things work I have personally learned a few things from this build and if thats all that comes out of this then great. Thank you for your comment Irritable_Badger
To each their own. The design isn't flawless and never meant for it to be. It is truly one of a kind and was happy to share my work if someone else was incline. Not only was this how to reuse the electronics and motors but a break down of how it worked and some issues i ran into. That is all I do not see tons of people running out buying old pedal cars to just re-purpose them they are getting tougher to find. this one was much better than some of the originals for this project as all the fittings are ball bearings.
Heck yeah now you have me thinking electric go kart
I hate to say it but you are coming across as old and grumpy. Hey if building and modifying stuff isn't your thing then more power to you. I enjoy it and I can take pride knowing its truly one of a kind. I hope you have a great day!
You are correct on the cap nuts and that is something I can and will prob change these!
I am not one for ordinary. Kids have been using pedal cars from the 50's so I do not find it unsafe that I wouldn't trust a child in it. The remotes are pretty new we all grew up without them so not to focused on that part.

I just took a bristle brush (something like you clean a shower or tile with) and soap and water. but be careful as the red will bleed and chip off sorta easy or mine did. I then just took clear coat over the whole thing and brightened it back up. Good luck and be sure to share some photos once finished.
This turned out great! Thank you for sharing with me. For this exact reason is why I love sharing my builds and photos. I love the plate fits it perfectly!
