ok, i fixed the code somehow, and all it is doing is taking the image. it isnt doing anything else. it just downloads the images. so i look at the images and i find that my webcam's picture and the red lines do not line up. so i spent an hour trying to center the board on the camera and equalize the edge distortion to no avail. is there an easier way to get the squares to line up?
ok i will try hitting the enter key. yes i have a camera connected, btu it is an old ubisoft webcam. would that affect the results? and no, i do not know how to get fswebcam.
ok, so geany says that the file /home/pi/Chess/images/1.jpg doesn't exist. is there something i have to download to make this work?
ok, i did that, and i tried the sample programs, and they worked! one problem though, when i run the chess program, it is still just showing the documentation. is there a fix for this?
on the site, it says that the first line of code is " from BrickPi import * " so is this right?
Update: i tried running the motor, and after the first line, it says that no file named BrickPi existed. and i think there is a later version of the brickpi software for 2019, but mine is stuck in the 2018 version of Raspbian for robots. can you help me?
i am pretty sure i am running raspbian for robots. I will try running a motor. thank you!
i ran CBint.py and got the same result. could i get a video step by step guide? or, if it is more convenient, could you give me a step by step guide through chat? also could you tell me what software to use, and if i have to type anything special into the shell to get it to work. i'm sorry if i am asking questions too much or taking your time.
I am confused as to what to do after i get the code. what do i have to do in order for it to work?
And, do you use visual studio code? And if so, how do you get it to work with raspberry pi?
i am getting a brickpi, so i wont have to deal with all of the programming hassle
when i put in the code, it had like 11 errors according to the visual studio. and when i ran it, the screen on the ev3 brick turned black and then after a few seconds turned off. what do i do?
btw, what do PIL and numpy mean in the code? and am i supposed to take al of the files and put all of the code together?
thanks, also, is the brickpi code just python 2 or python 3, or is it special?
