Great idea for use in a condo place where "thou shalt not benefit from the open spaces" seems to be the primary rule!
Easier: If you have wire clothes hangers, clip off the hook. Straighten the wire then fold into a v shape. Insert into dirt on sides of pot. Find a clear plastic bag to cover the 'pole'. Anchor the loose sides to the pot edges with spring-type clothes pins. Again keep in sunlight but be careful to loosen the bag when temps rise! Should be large enough to last until protective cover is no longer needed.
