    Flat-Pack CNC Modern Coffee Table

I wouldn't call myself a master but I do have a good deal of experience with CNC machining and wood working. There are an increasing amount of maker spaces and open workshops with CNC technology and most of the schools I have atended or worked at teaching in architecture and construction also have CNC machines. The budget CNC routers are getting cheaper as the technology evolves and personally I think 99% is a bit of an exaggeration (unless you're talking about the world population and the access to impoverished countries to instructables is probably also somewhat reduced…). I'd commend the authors on attempting to introduce people to the technology and show that it is not scary to use for people with no experience. Technology is constantly becoming more available to us all and being made aware of what is out there and what it can do is a lesson in itself.I would say though that the finish was more likely to do with the stockholding, an overly aggressive toolpath or perhaps the type of cutter used than the climb cutting, as on timber a climb cut generally gives a good finish.

    How to Desalinate Seawater

Really,logic.....The sea is an enormous body of water which takes a lotttt of heat and time to warm up, it's not the same logic as a small container in a garden at all. Same sun, different volume. I would tend to agree that evaporation should be fine, water molecules are separate more or less in a gaseous state and would not act as a medium to transport bacteria etc. Although perhaps cross contamination from the surface it is condensing on could occur.
