    DIY 3D Printed Dremel CNC

Hi Nikus, I am assembling the frame and have a question. Do we really need the 2 x linear bearing in each 3d printed part(front and back)? After inserting the first linear bearing the rods slide very easily and smoothly, but when I insert the second bearing there is a lot more friction and the rods do not slide as well. I guess there is slight misalignment between the two bearings causing this. Did you notice this during your assembly and would the axes move as well if there was only one bearing per rod perhaps centred within the 3d printed part? Thanks Dave

Great job Nikus! I have printed all the 3D printed parts(some long prints @ 30% infill) and they look great. Waiting for all the hardware to arrive from BangGood so I can start assembling. Your 3D designs are very professional and must have taken quite some time to draw. I will let you know how I go when I have all the parts. Cheers from Sydney Australia.

  • Solar Powered WiFi Weather Station V2.0

Thanks can you send me the code as I am having problems with the battery voltage not displaying so would be good the check that part of the code as well. Can u send it to dlochlinatgmaildotcom. I would like to see how its done. I found a way in Blynk using /pin.##/ in the Label field but the humidity always displays 7 decimal places.

Thanks to all that replied but I have my Blynk display working (sort of) but still missing voltage readings. I thought the problem may have something to do with some of the libraries so I updated the esp8266 board in the arduino boards manager. Mine was a few versions out of date. I also updated the Blynck libraries in the arduino IDE under Tools - Blynck check for updates. This caused me some problems during compiling the weather station sketch(version.h not found error in the BlynckSimpleEsp8266.h library). In the end I deleted the Blynck libraries from the arduino/libraries folder and them manually installed them from the zip file I had downloaded previously. I can't say which of these actions fixed the problem but would guess it was updating the esp8266 boards in board manager that...

Thanks for your reply. I.ve tried all the things you suggested and in fact I have just built a second unit and set it up and can't get any data displayed in Blynk. Blynk tells me the device has connected/disconnected(I have the sleep jumper installed. I see in the arduino serial monitor that it connects to my wifi and then to the Blynk cloud pings it and then prints all the temp, pressure, humidity and voltage readings.I verified the virtual pins in the Blynk app(infact one was wrong) after cloning the project from the QR icon in the instructable and still no joy. Now I have two units operating, one displaying sensible data on Thingspeak and the other displaying nothing in Blynk. Aah frustration!

Hi, I have been following your project for a while now and finally gathered almost all the bits, printed your great enclosure, and bought your great PCBs. Your instructions are great but I am having problems with displaying the data in Blynk(using your cloned project). In the arduino serial port monitor I can see that the BME280 is being read OK and I have reasonable values but the only one that displays in Blynk is the air pressure. All others, temp, humidity volts and altitude are not being displayed. Any ideas as to how to troubleshoot this problem?Cheers David

Nice project, well written and understandable.Do you plan to have the PCB's for sale, would love to build one of these or two. Another Aussie from Sydney!
