I'm using an IPAC, it's awesome!
I mostly play arcade games with MAME. Most of the arcade games use credits to play, the coin button emulates an coin insert in the arcade cabinet. The red buttons are used for specific emulator controls, such as pause and menu. Also these buttons have a 'Shift' ability mapped to it so when i pres and hold one button and tilt the joystick up or down the volume gets louder of softer. This 'Shift' functionality is an option from the IPAC used to wire the controls to.
I'm using an Intel NUC DC3217 which has an Intel i3 3217U, 8GB RAM and 256GB of SSD storage. It's fast enough to run most Arcade games with an exception of some few, all NES, SNES, GB(C)(A), Master System, Genesis games and dreamcast emulation works fine too :).
Thanks! I've bought the decals from 'http://rockstarprint.co.uk'.I highly recommend this shop and encourage you to check the site.
Thanks for the instructions! Finally after years of dreaming about an Arcade cabinet i've build one! The joystick and buttons are Sanwa's and using de control panel lay-out of a MadCatz Fightstick. There is a Intel NUC with an i3 in there running launchbox as a frontend. What do you guys think of this build?
