HEY GUYS! I'm no longer making these, but the EL company I mentioned actually sells panels specifically inspired from Detroit! A fantastic alternative~https://elwirecraft.co.uk/product/2cm-round-hoop-flat-el-panel-detroit-become-human-style/
No promises, but I'll keep you guys updated!
Otherwise i tend to cut down the EL panel to 2.5-2 cm bc 3 tends to be too big!
Yes! Just make sure that tab is protecting the little offshoot thats visible on the back. dhxjxh i wish i had pictures but i get my last shipment of the panels in a day or two so ill try and send a picture then!
When you get or look at the EL panel, theres a thinner edge to it. It almost looks like a border from lamination or something. When the panel lights up, the edging doesn't so thats a good way to see the difference! You can see pictures on the website~
UPDATE: CURRENTLY NOT TAKING COMMISSIONS ♡ya gurl is super busy and i just dont have the time rn ;;
I forgot to update here sorry!! I'm currently not taking commissions for them since I'm in the midst of moving and I don't know when I'll be able to start them up again ;;
Hi! So so sorry for the late reply but i assume you mean from the EL company? with the £10 shipping it always gets to me within 5 days or so!
I only used a splitter to extend the connection so the battery pack could reach my belt since I'm so tall. Otherwise you dont need one! Just connecting the EL panel to the battery pack is good enough. As for a type of battery pack, I used a 2xAA one but 2xAAA batteries work just as well!
I used either a diluted black acrylic paint or a gray! you dont want it to be toooooo opaque so I'd say aim for a gray color.
I looked into that and yeah it totally is possible! i just dont posess any sort of wiring skills past basic positive and negative stuff sO i opted for the simplest version i can do. but by all means if you have more skills and can adapt and improve go right ahead!! hello from california! ♡
