Hello, I had nearly 400 lEDs and 19 columns was fitting to length. It would be better to have number of columns as power of 2 like 16 or 32.Yea code can be adapted, there are constants and defines for size.

Wow looks great :D I wonder if adding force sensors under mounting belts could be used to indicate if you jump offcenter. With larder trampoline it could be used to make cool efects.

Thank you for answer. I'm newbie with Instructables, maybe linking is prohibited. Good idea with shifting frequency, I'l try it one day :)

Thank you for posting this project, MSGEQ7 looks promising but it has 7 channels limitation. I have future plan for using FPGA but they are hard to synthesize :( Maybe there exists some other ASICs for this job.
Thank you! It was really long journey.
View Instructable »Thank you, I just check who's Techmoan and came across review of similar display. Tube amp is quite simple Yaqin SC-30L paired with Czech columns. They sounds great, having intense but warm bass. I spent several hours listening to different amplifiers in audiophile store and this one was in my taste :)

Wow, great project. I just made similar audio spectrum display and someone linked yours in comments. I was concerning using hardware FFT with FPGA but it quite hard to synthesize. But those MSGEQ7 looks promising :) Are there variants with more output bands?

Yea I was think about using it as interactive fireplace :) I have several other effects in mind. I'l describe how to write effects in details in future.
I know what you mean. In upcomming update I'l try flattening amplitude response.Actually there is another major problem - sampling rate of ESP32 is only 5 kHz. As Nyquist theorem says it sampling frequency should be 2x max frequency, so 40kHz in total. OFC it is not. As shown at the end I'm working under utilizing ADS1256.
View Instructable »Interesting, thank you! I'l upgrade this project and do similar in future.

Yea batteries can be troublesome.Thank you :) It's made out of plywood, panel is plywood with printed paper and acrylic ontop, all fixed with button's screws.
