Wow! brought back memories of tuning to faraway stations using a SW radio receiver and sending their signal reports, awaiting mails bringing their QSL cards to me on airmail !! collected from DW, RCI, Radio japan, VOA, Christian science monitor, Radio sweden, Swiss radio international....list goes on... i still hold their QSL cards as a treasure :)

wonderful clock! a bit more details on the baffle making and some close up pictures would be very helpful. Also if i have a 60 LEDs/meter strip handy, what modifications would be needed?

the circuit diagram is in one of the pictures if u see all the pictures i have uploaded. It is a picture of the circuit i had handwritten in my scrapbook though.
it does cycle thru the modes. pls check if u have tinkered with the code anywhere. it works for my remote. Check remote control IR codes.
View Instructable »hithis is the circuit diagram. U may take help of a friend who can help u with the connections using this picture. It is very simple. Note that my code works for 60 LEDs and not 120.

I borrowed my daughter's unused pencil box and cut some access holes to make a case in similar lines but not so sophisticated ! :)

I agree. I am working on this with just a jigsaw and chisel hammer sandpaper combo and finding it too tiersome to work on 8 blocks cutting and polishing plus 1 block to be carved for the mechanism.

HiWill the water condensation on the ultrasonic sensors affect the readings? Did u leave the system running for a few days and observe any issues with water condensation?

you can buy such clock mechanisms on aliexpress but i wonder if they can take such big weights as their pendulums for movement

i was trying to buy some wing nuts for a solder fume extractor i'ble i saw recently. Nice way of recycling the plastic and making it work. Really innovative way of reuse. Keep up the good work
