hithankyou for your reply. great article.this is as you said a bit high tech and would involve sensors and stuff and accurate calibrationsi am currently thinking of making the most basic form of ventillator there can be. essentially a pump with stroke volume of around 450/stroke, and a veriable pressere valve with range around 10-20mmhg thats it. also it needs constant +4mmhg of pressure in tubes.as one says that something is better than nothing. so i am thinking of excluding the fancy modes.my rationelle is that the patient will be completely sedated with medicines so will only be dependent on machine (no breaths of his own) so that this machine can be used temporarily. does this makes sense.thankyou for your help
