Thanks for sharing. I really like the idea of using the leaf blower for dust collection. There cheap, readily available, and easily replaceable. The only worry that I'd have is the noise from the leaf blower. How loud is the setup?

This is great. I hope to build one in the future for myself and my son.

Thanks Arnold. It held up nicely for what I used it for. We bought a house last June and my new space doesn't necessitate the canopy anymore. I still have the parts though incase I need to make something similar again. At our old house I did bring the system into the garage when I wasn't going to be using it often (winter and early spring). I think that as long as it is stored out of direct sunlight for extended periods that it would all hold up well. Thanks for the nice words!

I believe I used the 5/16” but you want to use the smallest diameter that will fit over the 3.5mm plug. You can use same method for headphones with the lightning plug as long as you use the smallest diameter functional piece of heat shrink. This is definitely a simple fix and depending on how hard you are on your headphones will determine how long it lasts.
