If you connected this to a wall outlet you would destroy this radio and possibly the speakers too. The radio is built to accept 12v DC to power itself and run the speakers from. The problem comes from the wall outlets in the US being at 120V AC which means it is switching from +170 to -170 60 times a second. This would cause serious damage to pretty much every component that it reaches, the only survivors would be the ones that where saved by the death of their fellow components. There would be the sound of capacitors exploding and possibly some flames. The speakers in theory should survive but who know for sure.

First off, thanks for reading, no on to the answer. All the ADCs on the uno return a 10bit value which is a number 0-1023. I have the servo mapped to make a number between 200-820 correlate to a number 0-180 but if the value is over 820 the mapped value will be over 180. Same for the lower value. So I contstrained pot1val to make sure it stayed between 0-180 because it is likely to be higher or lower. Pot2val on the other hand it going from the max and min that the analog value can be so the value can't be out of range for the output value I want.Did that answer your question?

Did you try it with the files I gave you? The menuBackend Master library I gave you has been edited to add the function getRoot.

So the error I have is a that I'm missing a library called MenuBackend. This is a menu library that I can't find a download for, but I did find the github so just have to coby all the text from GitHub and set it up into a file. I'll see if I can find a LCD library that is drop in compatable with the normal library. Could you give me a schematic of your project so I know how everything's connected?

I got a zip file attached if it works properly. The folder called sketch_april20a needs to go in your sketches folder and the other two folders need to go in libraries. I compiled it and it says it worked so now it just needs to be tested.

Could I have a link to the LCD and one for the LCD controller. Is there anything else your going to add to it?

I couple questions, is this your code? why do you need to add an i2c LCD into the code? what error does it give you?

Step #2 pictures shows a 22k resister instead of the needed 200k resister.

I would try to find a different library that uses the ds3231 rtc and try to see if you can get it working. Might just be the RTClib library has a bug. I was wondering, have you set the time on the RTC yet? Could be chip doesn't start ticking until its been set. You can also try resetting the RTC, this is done by removing both power and the battery backup for 3 seconds.

I added a bare bones version of the code which does appear to be working. Which makes it only a clock, not a Swiss army clock. Try it out and if you have any problems just let me know.

Also good for fiberglass.

What about using a heat him and/or sandpaper. Heat gun should smooth out small stuff or if necessary, sand a bit then use heatgun. Cool project btw

Nice. You can also connect it to a battery and make it portable.

Lets start with a little exercise. Place a bowl filled with these chocolaty, creamy, melt in your mouth goodness on a table. Now sit in a chair next to the table within arms reach of the bowl. If you can count to 30 without doing anything else like playing on your phone, playing with cards, etc, then you have got pretty good self control. If you can count to 100 while staring at the chocolate then your self control is amazing and you should make a Instructable on it. (Results may vary for people who don't like chocolate or have eaten a ton of it recently.) LOL

So to answer the first question, if your referring to the power input and its a barrel plug. Center negative means that the inside of the barrel jack is the negative, and the outside is the positive. This is opposite to what power adapters normally are. So your right about reversing the leads.For the second question. it is best to charge a battery at one C or lower. So if the battery is 12,000, you can charge it at up to 12 amps. normally slower = better because it provides more time for the battery's chemical reactions to reverse. So if you have the time just let charge slowly. Also don't forget to put the battery at a storage charge when you aren't going to use it for awhile.I hope you have found this helpful.

It should be completely possible, the ESC may have to be programmed to have a adjust the data transmission. All you should have to do is have the ESCs signal line connected to a PWM pin on the Arduino then treat it like a servo in the sketch. Best of luck.

Good Job. One thing, I was taught to put the side of the conical solder head against the side of the lead then put the solder between the iron and the lead, does this make much of a difference. Great Instructable and make sure to check those solder joints, was making a led display and had one bad connection and it made it display all kinds of weirdness. Man was that a pain in the but to find afterwards.

then the only other way is to try to identity the camera and look for a datasheet. You could also try looking up the phone and see if you can find the which camera it uses. Also looking closer at your camera it looks like it will need more then a USB connection to run. good luck.

if you still got the board just do a continuity test from the 5v until you find the right one on the board, then use the corresponding pad on the camera. Do this for each pad your looking for.

Heres a diagram sort of thing

You can use a simple N channel Mosfet to control it. A Mosfet is a high power transistor that uses data level voltage to control a much higher and voltage and/or current. simply get a 12v supply and connect it to the 12v on the led strip. Then connect the Ground on the Arduino to the Ground on the power supply. Now connect the Ground on the LED strip to the input on the Mosfet and the Output of the Mosfet to ground. Then just connect the signal pin of the Mosfet to a Arduino pin.

It looks like each LED uses .016 amps, so (Num of Leds X .016 amp) + .1 amps = power supply minimum, or you could just buy a 1 amp supply and be done because I don't see much price difference between the 1A and .5A supplys, at least on amazon. And btw, I love your sign.

to extend this answer a AA battery has around 1500 to 2000 mAh at 1.5volts, equaling 3W of power. But alkaline battery's don't like to be discharged fast resulting in supplying less mAh at higher loads. The cell phone battery talked about above can hold 4500mah at a charge of 3.7 equaling 16.65 watts. So it would take over 5 AA battery's to charge this phone. This doesn't include any loss from the booster and Li ion charging circuit in the phone. So to sum it up AA's just aren't built to handle what a phone battery needs to charge. I hope that all made sense, good luck with your project.

have you had any trouble with the 74hc595 chips burning up? or is the manufacturer data on the low side in the max amps trough the chip.

You could use six pins on your arduino or add in a shift register and have it be on pins 1-6 on the output, then just use the first six digits of the byte to control each transistor. If I understand everything correctly.

Are you sure its a stepper, it might be a three phase Brush less motor. thye also have 4 wires, where 1 is gnd and the three other are phases

Good job explaining the amazing uses of pool noodles. They totally should sell them all year round.

I am not curtain but I believe that 2-3 amps would be the max for this without a heat sink on the MOSFETs.Also stepper motors require a different kind of driver then this.

It simple really, just hook up a battery to a yellow led, a Ultra Violet Led, and a Infrared Led, or you can use a grow light. LOL
