I see, haven't got Bluetooth transmission working yet because the ESP examples are so complicated. However, this baby monitor example shows how you can transmit audio over WIFI. Please add a link to code if you get the Bluetooth transmission up and running.

Glad, it's working for you. What is it specifically you want the microphone to do/ what do you want to do with the audio it picks up? I've used an adafruit I2S MEMs mic to build an intercom system and the quality was surprisingly good. I'd reccommend that as a good place to start.
