Have you ever tried it with just egg whites? Seems like it would be very similar but would significantly decrease the calories, fat, and cholesterol. If you remove the yolks you may need to add another egg to make up the volume.

I wonder how this would work with a screw top wine bottle? Too tall? You would have to extend the tube to reach the bottom, but that should not be a problem. Hmmm. Thoughts?

I have a friend who makes suncatchers using wood and epoxy that are somewhat similar to this. He uses a CNC to mill out the shapes, fills the cavities with different colors of epoxy, and then planes the back/bottom off to reveal the epoxy. Similar effect but leaving wood frames behind. Using his technique you could either make the entire board including the frame out of one piece or you could make just the interior and frame with a contrasting wood. You can see an example of his work here:https://www.etsy.com/listing/790939412/kentucky-suncatcher?show_sold_out_detail=1&ref=nla_listing_details

Halifax,I have not actually ridden a motorcycle while wearing these glasses, but the ones that I had years ago were very effective at keeping wind from whipping around the edge of the glasses and blowing in my eyes. My only caution is that if you are wearing an open face helmet with these glasses and you look behind you while riding the wind may pull them off of your face. I had that problem with my old glasses back when I was riding. The side shields work as wind scoops when turning your head to the rear. You may want to consider adding a strap around your neck to keep them from blowing off. Good luck!

Here is something similar. Looks like the quality of the glasses is not great and they are not polarized, but sill similar. https://www.amazon.com/Aviator-Sunglasses-Leather-Bridge-Shields/dp/B01N8RT0OR/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1521654946&sr=8-10&keywords=side+shield+sunglasses+for+men
View Instructable »Yes, it does create a much darker space "inside" of the glasses. One downside is that if you are wearing them while driving you have to turn your head farther in order to see oncoming traffic when changing lanes.

Could you provide a link to the robot kit that you used (wheels, motors, plates) or similar? Also, an estimated total cost for each robot? Thanks.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it.Yes, the leather folds inward with no problem. I have found that where the leather sits against my face it has absorbed some oil from my skin and grown a bit darker and softer. The leather conforms over time to where the side arms fold against it.

Those look fantastic! Great job! I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.
Hi TacticalFoot, I have seen similar glasses where the wire supporting the leather side shield was attached to the frame with a hinge, but then the hinge would have to be attached to the frames. I don't think that would help you very much. The only other idea that I have is to use some type of temporary adhesive (e.g. a thin strip of double-sided tape or something similar?). That way you could attach the shields to your frames but still remove them without damaging the frames. If you come up with a solution, please share it back here.Good luck!
