These are absolutely wonderful and would actually make really nice extras for winners at card tournaments. Does anyone have any idea if Magic the Gathering has something similar as far as hi-res versions of the cards exist?
This is too awesome! The one idea that struck me that could give your webs more versatility would be to mount some of them on a swivel so they could be turned and the webs could be rearranged without having to move the frames themselves. Kinda like a hidden door in a dungeon. The only problem I see with that idea is that I think the black wooden frames would become a tripping hazard.
Love how your book turned out! I'm looking forward to watching the video you linked to after work or during lunch today. Any recomendations if I wanted to make the edges of the text block black or maybe a black iridecent color?
Thank you! I've only recently gotten into book binding thanks to stumbling across Sea Lemon's Youtube videos. It is a lot of work, but I love the crafting process and the ideas are almost limitless. The book here and in the comments below are amazing! I've heard of the pearl ex powder pigments, but haven't used them yet. There are also one or two acrylic pearlescent paints out there, but I haven't had a chance to try them yet either.
Love this! I don't know how to weld, but think I can make something similar out of old bowling balls and PVC. Along those lines, I'd love to find one of those giant 4' balls and have a large spider surrounded by smaller spiders in my yard and around the front door. Thank you so much for this!
