Nice! I wonder how'd you get the Triena board part though.Bought the board over a year ago and just starting to continue the build. Soldering it was a pain, but eventually I was stuck on the fact that the negative speaker wires are differential and should not be shorted.Right now trying to put all grounds to AGND and left LN and RN disconnected. It sounds right, but I think I faintly hear some weird phasing sound. Either faintly or just my imagination.Wonder how it will sound if I just connect the buds with the grounds separately like you did!

yes, this method works on the basis of changing resistance ranges of the original pot, with serial and paralel. I've tried it and it works, albeit it require independent pots for changing the total resistance and changing the center resistance value.there is another method which works on the basis of voltage divider, in which the sensor actually reads the voltage instead of resistance. that mechanism puts an identical resistors (or pots) on both positive and ground ends of the original pot, virtually acting as voltage divider on both endpoints of the original pot. the advantages is that you can use (a well balanced) stereo pots which means adjustment will only need a single pot. I have yet to try this method but this seems more elegant with the use of just a single pot.
I'm trying to make a sense of this mechanism. It seems that the only way this would work is, in general, an RC transmitter throttle pot, will read lowest resistance as full throttle, and highest resistance for braking/reverse. This way, the first pot adds to the throttle pot resistance making the car goes backward. The trim pot seems like it should be a parallel resistor to the throttle pot (or both throttle pot + trim pot??), calibrating the center position to be the same as original resistance of the throttle's pot center. How would that work?? That parts seems to be confusing as hell.
mine is pretty useless for contact testing. it beeps on live. also beeps on neutral. oh it also beeps on ground. now how do I know which is which? it does correct job contactless on wire sides. but why would I want to test that?
anyone that has the ability to do such DIY must have safety precautions in mind. use heat shrinks! hot glue will not last a long time and may tear, causing shorts and fire.
I'm not overly critical.. just want a bit more focus on the object as it made me seems forgetting to wear my glasses..
