Beautiful! A cutting board is on my project list and I think this is the one for me. The 45 degree bevel on the bottom corners is genius, so much easier to pick it up. Thanks for sharing, great work.
This is an excellent idea, thanks for sharing. I'm not a welder but I can think of many projects where this would be incredibly helpful.
Great idea and very nicely done, one of these is now on my 'to do' list.
I've included a drawing for you.
Your calculations are very close :) I've included my drawing.
I had considered this or perhaps dowels but with the material only 3/8" thick I didn't want to ruin the pieces.
Please bear with me, I didn't actually measure the angles but I will do so for you.
I will get this for you, I drew it out to get the proportions right so I don't actually have a measured drawing. Bear with me.
Thanks MarkH. Walnut oil is a finish I've yet to try but will keep it in mind for a future project.
Many thanks, your comment is a huge compliment for me.
Thank you JLane. Your suggestion about the bow tie joint on the front is fantastic, it really would have added a lot to this. I do need more practice though, perhaps on a future project.
Not at all, glad you like it. Please share when you finish it.
Thank you Alex, I was a little uptight about the bow-tie joint but you made me feel better about it.
Thank you :)

I've been thinking about making myself a drill press table and have been working on how to go about it. You've done all the work for me, great design to this. Nicely done, I'll be making one of these soon. Thanks for sharing.
Nicely done! I will be looking at doing this myself, thanks for sharing.
Beautiful! And oh so practical, I'll be making some of these soon. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful! I've been wanting to try a resin project but table tops etc. are just a bit much first time around, this is perfect. Great work, thanks for sharing.
This is the first live edge project I'd think about making, a great take on the use of live edge material. Nicely done, your finished project is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Wow!! Fantastic work, so many details. Nicely done.
Love this.....a great way to store a mundane but necessary item. A conversation piece for the bathroom.
Nice project, I love how simple this is to make with many possibilities to 'customize'.You got my vote.
As Dakotamouse said, leave it in the sun and you've got a warm shower. Thanks for sharing, great idea with so many possible uses.
Brilliantly simple but oh so useful, thanks for sharing. This falls into the "why didn't I think of that" category.
This is one of those projects I've actually given some thought to but never got to, this is truly outstanding. The difference is in the details (the carved details, walnut thumb lock) and they really make a difference. Thanks for sharing and the inspiration to give it a try.
While one can just go and buy one of these there is a certain satisfaction to making one's own tools. Nicely done, I'll base my own mallet on this 'structable as I would like to have a smaller one for certain projects. (Yes I bought my larger one)
Great idea, simple and effective. I'm going to build one and use it for both my random orbit sander as well as hand sanding. Thanks for sharing.
I love the design, the combination of wood and steel. As a woodworker I know about the finishing and I'd say you got it perfect. Well done and thanks for sharing.
Great idea here, I particularly like your use of plexiglass for plier storage. This has given me some ideas, thank you for sharing :)
A great way to collect the dust while doing this, excellent idea. I've just tried to get my shop vac hose as close as possible and hold it in place with a clamp or ??? Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Tom :)
