This is an awesome project. I am horrible with electronics so it's almost like magic to me.

Awesome project! But why use reed switches instead of hall effect sensors? First of all, it looks like the reed switches pull the magnet ball a little bit because they have so much metal. Secondly, you could get analog data with hall effect sensors which you could use to vary the intensity of the light as opposed to simply on/off. I love the project and if you want to do a collaboration on a hall effect version let me know, I would totally be down!

Sorry, I'm in college and super duper busy. Also, I don't have access to my shop anymore because I don't live at home and school shops are closed due to covid. Even if I had shop, you could still really hurt her with as wood sword and a crossbar. If you must sword fight, I'd recommend the "Nerf N-Fore Vantage", it's wayyyyy cheaper than I could sell mine for and much safer too.

Hi there. First of all, I love this instructable... But I do have a question. Can I run two led lights off of one of 20' of the orange cord? I want to hang two lights about 3' apart from my ceiling, but I don't want to run two wires and use two sockets. I assume I can, if so, can you tell me how I would do it? I'm thinking I would just splice a wire into the end of the long one and then set up two lights. Thanks.

Thanks! I take the cards out of my wallet every time. I know it sounds funny, trust me. My whole family made fun of me when I showed them. I actually really like it; I'm only 17, so it's not like I use my wallet and cards all the time. Plus, I use samsung pay. So my debit card is on my phone anyways. Sometimes I don't even take my wallet, sometimes I just take my drivers license. The glass thing in the back left corner is my other phone case, it is just clear plastic. Thanks for asking questions, and being part of the community!
View Instructable »Thanks, I do put my cards there after I use them. I don't always put them in my wallet. I'm only 17, and I have a debit card on my phone. Often, I just put my drivers license in my pocket and off I go. As to the clear glass thing, that is my phone case, I have two. If it is rotating, it will stop. If it isn't, nothing will happen. I think when it turns back on it won't move no matter what.
I am the only person I know who makes it, but I would only make and sell them for an incredibly high price.
Thanks
