What is a fun game? What are the differences between a game and a toy?
Everyone might have a different explanation of what a fun game is, so it is hard to create a game for everyone. Yet, a toy is something that people play with and without limitations of how to play it.
People love to create, and are creative in their own ways. The best toy example is Lego. It never dies; it’s been there forever. We enjoy the freedom creating anything from those colorful bricks. You don’t have to be an artist or a designer to build Legos, but just do whatever you want and have fun.
I love to play mini-golf. It’s a game for everyone, not limited to genders or ages; you just hit the ball and watch it go to work. It is unpredictable, and that is why it is fun. Most of time, not having fun means losing the game. A game should be like anyone’s game, so we don’t play games that are not fun.
Mini-Tiles for everyone! Here, I design a game\toy for everyone to enjoy. You create your own track, make up the game play, and enjoy the track you just created! This is a toy and a game. In this game, you build to play.
Here I show simple instructions of how to make your own tile, and share a sample vector drawing for straight and turning tiles in illustrator.
The model was made in plywood. All the materials I used for this project are plywood, wood glue, paints, primers, and a clear acrylic ball to play with.

This is a brilliant little toy/game, and it's somewhat similar to something I've been thinking about doing for a certain small person of my acquaintance for Christmas. Though of course I don't have a "laser cutting machine" so it would need to be hand cut, and I was thinking of including ramp elements too.
