Introduction: Origami Jumping Frogs

With just a simple piece of paper you can create a replica of a real jumping frog!!!

Step 1: Cut the Paper

Cut the paper into as close to a perfect square as you can.

Step 2: Fold One

Fold the paper in half.

Step 3: Fold Two

Fold the paper in half again so it makes a smaller square.

Step 4: Fold Three

This is probably the hardest fold. First you take the corner of one of the sides of the fold. Hold the paper so the seam is on the top. Take the far corner of the top seam and fold it into the middle of the paper to make a triangle. Do this again to the other side, and you should have two triangles connected in the middle.

Step 5: Fold Four

Take one of the triangles and leave the other one hanging. Hold the triangle with the base or longest side facing towards the ground. Take one of the bottom corners and fold it to the peak of the the triangle. Do this again with the other side of the same triangle. You should have a diamond now.

Step 6: Fold Five

Then take a side corner of the diamond you just made and fold it to the center of the diamond. Then do it to the other side.

Step 7: Fold Six

Flip the paper over, you should have another plane triangle. This time take the corner of the triangle and fold it down below the triangle as far as you can. Repeat this on the other side.

Step 8: Fold Seven

There should be a split between the two papers from your last fold. Take the seam from one of the papers and fold it back out to its own seam created by the last fold. Repeat this for the other side. At this time your frog should be taking shape, it should just look like a flattened frog.

Step 9: Fold Eight

At this point your frog is completed, these last two folds are just to make the frog jump. First take the frog and put him on his back so his legs are on top. Then make him do a frog sit up and make the nose of the frog go just below the base of the frogs body.

Step 10: Fold Nine

This is the last fold. After the frog has done its sit up flip it over. Then fold its back in half so its body is in a z shape. Your frog is finally finished!!
but now its time to learn how to jump it.

Step 11: How to Jump Your Frog

First put your frog on its feet. Then put your finger on its head and push down till its flat. Then slide your finger off the back and watch it fly!
