you can make a simple boombox ...............................................

0V  voice amplifier & BASS BOOST SPEAKERS......................

I dont get for what reason the battery is connected?!

the speakers fitted in the boom box requires .5 or more V for its correct functioning. there are 18 speakers connected in series.
                        so 18 speakers require 18x.5(or more) =9 V (or more)DC power supply. so we use a 9V battery.
                        if we do not use a battery , the volume of the speakers will be low, because only 0V current reaches the speakers from the head phone jack of your mobile phone.

Where did you get the speakers for this project? It looks like a nice build.
