Introduction: Ride on Carousel for My Daughter.
my daughter loves carousels, so i decided to try to build one, still working on it two years later, it is 8 ft round and is powered by a 1hp electric motor, the horses are old spring bouncy horses that i repainted,it has three horses and three pedal cars, i will post more pictures as i continue.

I am in my 50's and wouldnt mind having one. Your daughter is a very fortunate young lady to have a dad so talented. Can not wait to see your finished project with the gazebo. Are you planning on posting the detailed plans on how you constructed this. If not I would be more than willing to pay. I do alot of working for charities and local school for fund raiser. I bite my construction cost and get paid with smiles and happiness. I project was a 30 feet teddy bear. I love to build and sew. You really done a beautiful job

Unfortunatly i had to tear it down,my wife and i have divorced and the house is on the market,i'm sorry and thank you for the kind words,i am currently working on a different project for her and myself.

I love the carousel you built. Very classy! I was going to build one myself for my kids. I have a question though. What did you use for the swivel connection, motor and gear assembly?

thank you , i have more pictures i just have to download them, it it almost finished. the horse's are mounted permanently right now, i am planning on building a enclosed gazebo with attached playard/ swingset area that the carousel will be moved into, i will the make the horses go up and down then.
