Introduction: Riper Shnifle
its a gun but its a cross between a sniper rifle and a normal rifle its quite powefull with the right elastic bands can go through polestireine this is my first gun so dont be harsh.
Step 1: Barrel
make the barrel just follow the pictures make it in two parts its easier.
Step 2: The Firing Pin
once again simply follow the pictures
on the second pic the grey rods are bent it not because of the gun it because they old and the little bit with the blue spacers is a thing for dampening it so it doesnt destroy itself when you fire it.
on the fireing pin under the black tape is an orange rod connecting the grey rod to the slide i didnt take it all apart because i couldnt get the black tape off so youll have to look at the pic carefully for that.
Step 3: Middle Section
do i even need to say follo the pics again? damn i sed it
Step 4: Backrest
this bit is so the knex doesnt dig in when you are pulling the fireing pin back
make or gather all the parts in the first pic
Step 5: Trigger
make the trigger you will need some kind of string about 30 ish cm long you have to fiddle around with it until you get the tension right depends on what string it is and how long.
Step 6: Assembly
just assemble
Step 7: Add Final Piecies
make the green handle and clip it in like in the pic then swap the grey connector at the end of the pully for an orange one then slide apart the green connectors on the handle and slip the orange bit on the pully in also thread the string assembly through for the trigger
the last two pics are the rubber band positionings the first one is for small rubber bands and the last one is for large rubber bands simply thread it through the slot inbetween the two barrel sections. n your done
Step 8: Done!
your now the owner of the riper shnifle plz ignore the little thing on the end of the barrel in the pic it was a little attatchment i used for firing a small shotgun burst but it didnt work well so i didnt keep it.

actually if you took the time to actually make this gun you'd find out its quite powerful don't be such a dumbass and actually try making something before commenting

what happened to the "be nice" policy

I was saying the frame is weak!
Reply 15 years ago on Introduction
even the frame is surprisingly strong unless your using really old knex then it kinda crap
Reply 15 years ago on Introduction
trust me, not to be a jackass, but the frame is actually very weak compared to how sturdy the more complex guns are, but good gun for your first gun, my first gun was a piece of crap

ya, but sniper rifles have magazines
Reply 15 years ago on Introduction
not necesarely (i cant spell), some snipers you have to load the bullets manuly(cant spell...) and others are only single fire.

like breech loaders

Polestireine- lol! Well, looks like it would break in half if you picked it up, and what is the difference in this gun between a rifle and a sniper rifle?
Reply 15 years ago on Introduction
believe me its stronger than it looks and this is different from a sniper because it doesn't have a long barrel like a sniper and it has no magazine
Reply 15 years ago on Introduction
Then how does it turn into a sniper? Unless you are making a kit with an extended barrel?

That's great and all but don't advertise on other people's instructables. Make a forum.
Reply 15 years ago on Introduction
Sorry for that..it does have its own forum topic, I guess a forum topic is not as 'interesting' as an Instructables :P
Reply 15 years ago on Introduction
True, just post the gun when it's ready instead. Thanks for deleting the comment.

Polestireine? Polyester? Polystyrene? There is a spell checker.

why did you just advertise on this instructable?
