this is a simple knex gun that doesn't use many pieces. it can be strong with the right rubber bands and it has to be made well. ps this is my first instructable and my first knex gun so be nice.

Step 1: The Pieces You Will Need

here are the pieces you are going to need to build this gun.
right angle pieces: 25
yellow rods: 3
red rods: 1
blue rods:1
orange connector: 2
grey rod:2
rubber band:1

Step 2: Making the Barrel

you are going to take 24 out of the 25 right angle pieces and start connecting them in between the 2 grey rods.

Step 3: Making the Handle

this step is simple you take the 3 yellow rods and 1 of the orange connectors and attach them so you have a rod on each side and one in the middle.

Step 4: Making the Ram

all you will need here is the other orange connector, a red rod and a rubber band. your gonna attach the orange connector to the red rod and put the rubber band through the center hole of the connector.

Step 5: Attaching Handle to Barrel

to attach the barrel to the handle you take a yellow rod on the handle and start clicking it down the bottom- middle of the barrel on the side with more of the grey rod showing. (Don't let the middle rod of the handle fall out.) while you are clicking the first one down the second one will want to follow it so click the middle yellow rod and last yellow rod so that the first one is down the barrel about 2 1/2 inches, middle one about 2 inches and the last one down the barrel around 1 1/2 inches.

Step 6: Attaching Ram to Barrel

The front of the gun is the part with more grey rod sticking out and the side the handle is closer to. Take the yellow rod farthest back from the front and un-attach it from the orange connector but don't move it down the barrel. take the 2 loops of the rubber band and slide them down that so they are touching the barrel. then re-attach the yellow rod to the orange connector. then slide the red rod of the ram into the back of the gun. This will make the rubber band taut. Also the rubber band will not come off of the gun without something being un-attached.

Step 7: Making the Bullet and Firing

the bullet is simple. you just attach your last red right angle piece to the blue rod on the middle connector slot. to load you slide the bullet blue rod side first into the front of the gun. it will stop because the red ram will get in the way just let it rest on the ram. to shoot, hold it by the handle, barrel side up, and pull back on the orange connector piece of the ram. tilt the gun back so the bullet falls back until it gets caught by the right angle piece make sure the bullet is all the way in and the ram is not touching it because it is farther back in the barrel. now aim at something and let go of the orange connector piece. it will shoot much better when the gun is parallel to the ground.
