Introduction: Simple Soldering Station From Rubbish

About: i make, mend and modify things from rubbish, whether found or donated, whilst travelling around these islands off the coast of europe

heatsinks are an abundant rubbish and have semi-threaded slots to receive screws. so i used these groves on top to clamp a bicycle spoke in place, and the one on the bottom to secure it to the biscuit tin lid. the threaded end of the bicycle spoke i fed a spring on, then a split washer and the to other washers and the screwed the nipple on, so that the spring is compressed and small components to be soldered can be clamped between the washers.
i've  also screwed on a clothes peg for holding something larger, like a circuit board, for example.
